MIDAS Minibus Training

posted 9 Dec 2009, 15:53 by Jonathan Chicken
As you know two groups in the district have their own minibuses with other groups using minibuses on a semi-regular basis.

MIDAS training is a voluntary scheme providing basic driver awareness and on-road assessment

Sunderland Council for example insist that all voluntary drivers are MIDAS trained before working with schools etc.

3rd Washington also insist that all drivers of their bus have this certficate also.

Training lasts one day and costs £50; this can be run on a Saturday at this price assuming I'm able to provide 10 people to take part.

The minimum requirement for undertaking the training is the Driver's need no special licence in the UK to drive a minibus See Here
