Group B - Canyoning

After 23 hours on the coach we arrived - tired but pleased to see the chalet. After an early night, scouts were ready to go first thing the next morning.
Today group B were the first to take on the awesome cliffs in via ferrate and the first to slide down the canyoning. Check out our first album of the week!
As you can see the weather was fantastic as we headed out for the day!
Via ferrata started with a short climb up to the rock face and then we were clipped on to a wire running along the rock face which we followed for the rest of the way. The wire firstly took us upwards on some metal footings secured into the rock before we traversed across the hillside including crossing a frightening wobbly bridge.

Canyoning was fantastic - we were given wet suits and helmets and off we went onto a set of natural slides, drops and pools carved into the rock by the river over the years. It was a real treat to jump into the freezing river on such a hot day and the activity was fast and furious as we slide down the rocks into the pools and jumped off ledges into the deep bits.
More group updates to follow as we head for mountain biking tomorrow, high ropes and white water rafting on Tuesday and we climb to the mountain hut on Wednesday.
