Our journey to France

We’ve used our coach company, North East Coach Travel many times. We have enjoyed faultless support from them over the years and the company comply with all relevant standards of safety.

It takes about 24 hours to get to Morillon, leaving Washington Services on Saturday morning, travelling via Dover-Calais with P&O ferries.

Our international coach drivers join us in the south of England and each coach is double-crewed enabling drivers to rest more often than is required. This is very important to us when travelling during the night.

At day break, we make a breakfast stop, usually near the french city of Reims where we freshen up, and enjoy breakfast in the morning sunshine.

Once at Le Sauvageon, we unpack, shower and enjoy the rest of Sunday afternoon at leisure before tucking into a hearty evening meal.

Our coaches are top-spec and are fully air conditioned, with a toilets and DVD system. In addition, our coach leaders play games like bingo and run prize quizzes; there's a joke-telling competition, on board karaoke and generally good banter! Its amazing how quickly the scenery changes and the alpine skyline becomes apparent.
