Raising Your Local Profile

Groups in the district are currently enjoying great success in their community presence. Read some recent local media. Some high profile events and opening sections have certainly helped, as do group websites promoting clear on-brand messages. These sites generate frequent engagement by young people, families and enquirers. There is a buzz about scouting locally, it's seen as a trusted provider of good stuff for kids. 

The groups who actively promote themselves locally through their websites, communities online and by 'being seen' develop significant interest in volunteering by adults. Many of our groups have transformed their AGM into a public celebration of their success. One group needed to move to much bigger premises to accommodate 200 people and a world-famous author at their AGM. Don't underestimate the power of our local brand....it's about adventure, it's about being outdoors, it's about having fun. 

The best social network starts with the families and supporters of our members.
